
The SGI is actively involved in producing a virtual environment where companies can set up trading spaces to showcase their products and services to a global audience. Paying particular attention to the additional value added by the interactive nature of such spaces. However, as part of the background to this we shall also be exploring the current and future state of the art of using virtual environments as a ‘location’ for e-commerce, as well as the logistical, business and technological problems of integrating such environments into current e-commerce solutions.
