Kevin Sauvourel, Alexander Spyropoulos and Guillaume Patinaud are three French students who have joined the Research Department of the Serious Game Institute since the beginning of April. They came for a 6 months internship as part of their Master degree on Video Games Project Management (MAJE) of the University of Sophia-Antipolis, Nice, France. Until the end of September, they will work on the Roma Nova project, a serious game occurring in Ancient Rome, aimed at teaching ancient Roman history through a gamer experience.
Each one of the three French students has a very specific background. Kevin is specialized in programming and development, Alexander has a more artistic and literary background, while Guillaume has experience himself in 3D modeling. They were called because of their experience in the field, not only as gamers but also as creators. Indeed, last semester, all of the students of the Master Degree created two video games project, a serious game, Bartender World Tour and a casual/innovative touch game entitled ZombZomb developed on Microsoft Surface. The two projects were presented at the International Videogame Festival (FIJ) of Cannes last March. You can see a playable video by clicking the link below:
